How do I determine my belt size?

Belts are commonly sized in inches, although some manufacturers also provide metric sizes on their belts.  Although commonly thought, the size of a belt is not determined by measuring the whole length of the belt but is taken from the length between the bottom of the buckle and the middle buckle hole.  To determine your belt size, take your hip or waist measurement, depending on where you intend to wear the belt; the measurement is your belt size.  This will ensure your belt is initially sized at the middle hole, leaving 2-3 holes on either side to accomodate changes in weight or body measurements.

*Quick Tip - In most cases, your belt size will be the same as the top measurement of a pair of well fitting pants or trousers.  For men, this is usually the same as the pant size.
